Home Remedies for Sweaty Hands
Do you find your hands and palms sweating a lot? Are you ashamed of your sweaty hands that you have given up the social gesture of handshakes? There are many of us who are troubled by the problem of sweaty hands.
This problem is medically termed as Palmar Hyperhidrosis. Mostly, whenever we are nervous, we often find our palms wet by sweat. Sweaty hands are caused by an overactive nervous system and can also be triggered by emotional and mental stimuli. It is for this reason that certain circumstances like taking an exam or being faced by an unexpected situation makes our hands sweaty.
After having understood the causes behind sweaty hands, let’s now look at some natural and simple home remedies which can help us to combat this problem. First of all, always carry a hand towel with you and frequently wipe your hands whenever you feel them sweaty. Since nervousness, tension, and anxiety are leading causes of sweaty hands, you need to combat your stress through meditation, yoga and other relaxation techniques.
To deal with sweaty hands, you need to keep your palms dry. This can be done by applying some anti-perspirant or talcum powder in your palms so as to prevent them from sweating a lot. There are also medicated powders available to deal with this problem.
There are also other ways by which you can naturally prevent and treat the problem of sweaty hands. These include taking help of exercise and keeping your weight under check. Additionally also reduce your intake of iodine rich foods. Vegetables like broccoli, asparagus and white onion should also be ideally avoided. Instead, it has been found that zinc can help in this cause.
Thus follow the above given tips to naturally free yourself from sweaty hands. Most importantly, keep your stress and anxiety levels under control. This will help you to not only solve the problem of sweaty hands, but also get rid of various other problems.
