Home Remedies for Split Ends

April 2, 2009

Every one loves their hair and have a desire to have long and healthy hair. There is no point having long hair which are full of split ends and thus present an untidy look. Thus, you need to take proper care of your hair and nourish them properly to keep them naturally long and shinning with health. The given home remedies will help you get rid of unwanted split ends.

To understand the natural ways of getting rid of split ends, you need to know what causes them so that you can eliminate the causes themselves. Excessive blow drying of hair, using straightening irons and unnecessarily exposing your hair to various chemicals can harm your hair and lead to split ends. Similarly, over exposure to sun can also damage your hair. Thus, don’t run after hair styling products as they can harm your hair. After all, you might be trying to make your hair stylish, but in reality, you are only harming your hair by exposing it to unnecessary chemicals. However, if you have to chemically treat your hair, then you must have a gap of two weeks between chemical treatments. Also, wear a hat when going out in peak sunny hours.

Also, to prevent split ends, you must get your hair trimmed at regular intervals. Since dryness leads to split ends, you need to keep your hair well nourished and moisturized by using a conditioner after shampooing so as to prevent their tangling. Additionally, here are some natural home remedies that can help you to effectively deal with split ends. You can make an effective papaya pack at home for your split ends. Skin and deseed the papaya and blend it into a pulp. Add yogurt to it and apply it on your hair and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash it after that.

Along with the above remedies, eat a well balanced diet to keep your hair naturally strong and healthy.
