Home Remedies For Razor Burns
Many of us would have often faced the problem of razor burns which can occur during the act of shaving. It is usually a reddish mild rash which can lead to itchiness, pain and also a burning sensation. Given below are some home remedies which can come handy while dealing with razor burns.
Apple cider vinegar is an easy and effective home remedy for razor burns. You can simply dab a small amount of apple cider vinegar on the affected skin area withy the help of a cotton ball or a clean cloth. Being a great antiseptic, it works well to treat razor burns and also helps in the removal of impurities form the skin.
Similarly, Aloe Vera gel is popularly used for all kinds of skin ailments due to its natural soothing effect. You can apply it after shaving to cure skin burns and razor burns as it helps in preventing as well as treating irritation and redness of the skin. Potato is another easily available home item which can be used to treat razor burns. All you need to do is to peel and slice the potato and then apply it on the affected area. Similarly, strawberry too can be used as an effective home remedy due to its strong antiseptic properties.
You can also make an effective home made razor burn mask by using 2 strawberries and 1 tsp sour cream. Also, remember that bathing before shaving can be quite effective as it soften the skins making the shaving process easier and safer. Also, shave in the direction of the hair growth as that will prevent any inflammation of the skin. Last but not the least, always moisturize your skin to keep it soft and healthy without any fear of razor burns or skin irritations. The given home remedies can help you naturally prevent as well as treat the common problem of razor burns.
