May 29, 2009

skinrashesRashes are very common skin ailments or irritation which affects a majority of people. Rashes can be caused by various factors. They can be result of sun’s harmful radiations, food allergy and also due to some skin infection or due an allergic reaction.

Additionally, you can also have rashes as a reaction to certain cosmetic products. Given below are some simple home remedies that can help you out.

To soothe your itching skin and to naturally get rid of rashes, you should apply certain oils on the affected areas. You can apply olive oil and also try applying Aloe Vera gel for effectively warding off the problem of rashes the natural way.

Having an oatmeal bath helps a great deal in naturally dealing with the problem of rashes. An oatmeal bath is particularly helpful in reducing the inflammation of skin. Similarly, application of baking soda on the affected body parts or application of chamomile tea can help relieve the pain, redness and itchiness of rashes.

Diet too can help you with the problem of rashes. Have a diet which is rich in Vitamin C as the antioxidants present in it help in fastening the healing process.

Since rashes can be caused by chemicals present in cosmetic products, you must first check your skin’s sensitivity before applying any cosmetic product on it. If you have a rash which is due to harmful UV radiations, you must avoid going out in sun.

Though a hot water bath is advised for cleansing skin, be sure you use warm water and not hot one. As a precautionary step, you must also avoid the contact of your affected skin with chemicals present in harsh soaps, detergents and even deodorants.

Thus, follow the above given tips to naturally deal with the problem of rashes.
