Ginger has been found quite beneficial in naturally treating the problem of phlegm. You can make a fine paste of ginger, cinnamon and carnation with addition of little water. Also, add honey to this paste as honey with its numerous benefits is extremely beneficial for the treatment of phlegm. This paste can provide you relief from phlegm. Also drink hot water as such or add juice of half lemon in it. Adding honey to warm water can help you provide relief as honey has a natural warming effect which controls phlegm production. You must have seen your grandmother giving you turmeric milk at night to soothe your cold and throat infection. Well, grandmother’s treatments are always right as drinking hot milk with added turmeric powder can naturally treat the problem of bad throat and phlegm. You can also make an effective paste at home for the treatment of phlegm. Make a paste of liquorices root, dry ginger, sugar crystals, black pepper and black pepper seeds. This paste taken three times a day can help in preventing and treating phlegm production and discharge. You can also consume few cloves of garlic at bedtime for relief from phlegm. Eating pears is another natural way of treating phlegm. Mix grind peppers with mashed raisins and get eat them. Similarly, oranges too can be used for treatment of phlegm. Orange slices should be first soaked overnight in wine and then cooked well before consumption.
