Home Remedies for Nasal Congestion
If you are suffering from common cold, flu or sinus, then there are bright possibilities that you might be having the problem of nasal congestion. Nasal congestion is a painful condition which leads to the swelling of the nasal membranes thus blocking the nasal passage. This in turn leads to difficulty in breathing and speaking along with leading to a general discomfort and irritation. Given below are some effective home remedies which can naturally cure the problem of nasal congestion.
Taking a warm water bath helps in making the body warm which in turns provide relief from nasal congestion. Moreover, black pepper is an easy home remedy which helps in providing relief from nasal congestion. Take 3 to 4 baked black pepper seeds in the morning or you can also inhale their fumes by burning them on fire for a faster relief. Similarly, burn 4 to 5 cardamom seeds for relief. Nasal congestion can also be relieved by inhaling fumes of apple extract vinegar. Carom seeds have also been found effective for treatment of this problem. You need to take few seeds of carom, make its powder, or put them in a small cotton cloth and place them near your pillow. This will help in freeing you from congestion related discomfort. You can also make some homemade inhalers for treating nasal congestion. These can be made by adding few drops of peppermint oil on a cotton cloth. Then, bring it near your nose and inhale its essence for immediate relief from congestion caused particularly by sinus. Moreover, garlic and tomato soup can also prove beneficial for treatment for nasal congestion. It not only provides relief and comfort but also scores on the taste level.
