Home Remedies for Morning Sickness

If you are pregnant, then you may be suffering from the problem of morning sickness. This is a problem which affects many expecting mothers and is characterized by nausea or vomiting sensation during the early phase of pregnancy. There are various natural and home-made remedies available for the treatment of this problem and thus one should avoid getting unnecessarily tensed or panicky about it. However, one should consult a doctor if the vomiting becomes severe and leads to further problems of dehydration or weight loss.

To get rid of the problem of morning sickness in a natural way, one should prepare a mixture of ½ tsp ginger juice, 1 tsp fresh lime juice, 1 tsp mint juice and 1 tsp honey. This mixture should be taken about 3-4 times a day. Similarly, another healthy drink can be prepared by mixing juice from tender curry leaves with 2 tsp lime juice and 1 tsp honey. It has been found that low sugar aggravates the problem of nausea. Thus, women suffering from morning sickness should ensure that their sugar levels remain normal and it is not a bad idea to have something sweet as soon as one gets up to avoid the problem of morning sickness.

People suffering from the problem of morning sickness should ensure that their stomach is never completely empty. This can be ensured by eating small but frequent meals throughout the day. Moreover, such women should eat high protein snack before going to bed at night and their diet should basically be rich in carbohydrates and proteins and low on fat. Eating salty, crunchy foods and sniffing a fresh lemon peel can help in getting rid of nausea which is associated with the problem of morning sickness. Other remedies include drinking of ginger tea which is made by boiling some ginger root in water along with addition of some honey. This drink helps as ginger aids in the elimination of acidity along with helping in the soothing of the digestive system. One should try drinking plenty of carbonated beverages but those which are without caffeine. By following these various natural remedies, one can get rid of the problem of morning sickness.
