Home Remedies for Joint Pains
Though you might not be able to understand the severity of discomfort caused by joint pains by mere reading about it, people who suffer from it are the best judges. Joint pains can greatly disrupt the smooth functioning of life as they hamper your normal day to day movements. Let’s discuss its symptoms and causes before moving on to its natural treatment modes.
Characterized by mild to severe pain and discomfort while use of joints, joint pains can be caused by a number of factors; the main being arthritis. Apart from it, other causes include joint inflammation, injury, accident, infections, joint strains and auto-immune diseases amongst others. Given below are some home remedies which can help you provide relief from joint pains.
Instead of relying heavily on drugs and medications, you can try some home remedies for natural relief from joint pains. A warm water bath or a hot bottle treatment on the affected joint helps a lot. Take adequate rest and do not overstrain your joints.
Massaging the affected area is another helpful alternative. You can gently yet firmly massage your joints with little oil. Warm olive oil has been found to be quite effective but you can use any oil for joint massage. Also, rubbing the paining joint areas with hot vinegar a little before going to bed can prove beneficial.
Healthy, nutritious diet and mild exercises helps. While the former prevents nutritional deficiencies that can lead to joint aches, the latter helps in improving flexibility of the joints. Other effective home remedies which can ease joint pain include drinking a glass of lukewarm water mixed with 2 teaspoons each of apple cider vinegar and honey.
Drinking a glass of milk with one teaspoon of turmeric in it also helps in curing joint pain and even arthritis. To prevent this problem, you can consume garlic cloves fried in butter.
Follow the given tips to naturally prevent and treat the problem of joint pains.
