One of the most irritating and embarrassing problem is that of itching. An itch can occur at any time and at any place and it becomes extremely difficult for a person to control his itchy feeling.
An itchy or an irritated skin can be a result of various factors like skin problem, dryness, insect bites, and allergy. This article will provide some natural and simple remedies to provide instant itch relief.
Itching is a problem usually seen in winters when one suffers the most from dry skin. Dryness is one of the major causes of itchiness and thus preventing your skin from becoming dry can play an important role in preventing an itchy skin.
Keep your skin well moisturized and always moisturize your skin after taking a bath. In addition, have plenty of water to naturally hydrate your skin. You should also use humidifiers to prevent drying up of your skin.
A person affected by skin itchiness can be benefited by applying Vitamin E oil on the affected area. Similarly, other oils like those of Aloe Vera and Cod liver are also beneficial.
It has been found that applying hot water to the affected area can help in providing natural relief from an itchy and scratchy feeling. Similarly, application of cold compresses also helps.
A milk bath with addition of oatmeal or baking soda can help soothe your itching skin. In addition, you can also add some cornstarch in your bath water to help get natural relief from itchiness. Adding neem leaves to your bath water is also beneficial.
One cannot neglect the importance of diet when one talks of naturally treating any problem. Thus, in case you suffer from an itchy skin, then you must avoid excessive intake of salt. Also, if your skin itchiness is due to some food allergy, you must stop intake of that particular food item.
