Also known as flu, influenza is a medical condition characterized by chills, fever, headache, fatigue, and muscular pains. As the name suggests, influenza is caused by an infection from influenza viruses.

This viral infection affects nose, ears, eyes, throat and lungs. It usually leads to an inflammation in the nose and throat, and can also spread down to the lungs. Given below are some home remedies which can help in the natural treatment of influenza.

Here are some natural and simple home remedies which can help your provide relief from the problem of influenza. You must have frequently used pepper in your food dishes. Now, you can use it to treat the problem of influenza. Take powder of long pepper, mix it with two teaspoons of honey and half a teaspoon of ginger juice. Mix it thoroughly and consume this mixture for effective relief. Similarly, ginger and garlic can help in the natural treatment of influenza.

Influenza is usually accompanied by fever. You can reduce your fever by taking a teaspoon of fresh ginger juice mixed with a cup of fenugreek decoction and honey. Similarly, increasing intake of garlic in one’s diet is an effective way of warding off the problem of influenza as garlic is useful as a general antiseptic. You can also take raw garlic in the morning for healing effect.

Along with making use of natural means to get rid of influenza, you should also take some preventive measure to prevent it. Consume fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin C as that helps in strengthening the immune system to fight against viruses and infections. Fresh fruits and raw vegetables are useful. If the patient suffering from influenza faces problems related to breathing or any other complication, then you must immediately consult a doctor.

It is always better to prevent influenza, naturally treat it and most importantly, treat it on time with due significance to its symptoms and severity.
