Home Remedies for Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation is a problem in which certain skin sections become darker in color than the rest of the skin. Hyperpigmentation or uneven patches on the skin occur due to excessive production of melanin in the skin.
This in turn is caused by various factors like pregnancy, Addison’s disease, excessive sun exposure, skin problems like acne, and also by intake of certain medications.
Whatever be the cause, no one likes to have a blotchy skin. This article will provide some simple home remedies that can help you get rid of ugly skin patches caused by Hyperpigmentation.
Lime juice is rich in antioxidants and is thus beneficial for skin affected by Hyperpigmentation. All you need to do is mix lime juice with little turmeric powder and then apply that on the skin. This will help in getting rid of ugly patches on the skin. Similarly, you can also apply a mixture of lemon and honey on your skin.
You can also naturally treat the problem of Hyperpigmentation using raw potato juice. Apply this juice on the affected skin areas for few days to achieve the desired effect. Another natural remedy for treating uneven skin patches involves mixing oatmeal with curd and tomato juice.
Massaging the skin with cocoa butter can also help in treating Hyperpigmentation. Also, it has been found that applying Aloe Vera juice on the affected skin areas can help.
Along with the above given home remedies, you should also pay attention to your diet as diet helps in ensuring a healthy and a patch free skin. You need to have a well balanced diet which includes all essential nutrients. Also, have plenty of water and keep your body and skin hydrated.
Since Hyperpigmentation can be caused by skin’s exposure to ultraviolet rays, you must prevent going out in peak hours of sun. Also, wear a protective layer of sunscreen on your skin to avoid skin damage.
Follow the above given tips to naturally treat and prevent the problem of Hyperpigmentation.
