You must have heard it from many and also seen it on TV, the most effective and basic remedy of overcoming a hangover is by having lemon water or lime in any form. This is because providing your body with Vitamin C is an effective way of getting over a hangover.

A glass of fresh lime in the morning is all it takes to say goodbye to your hangover. As mentioned above, hangovers are also caused when your body becomes dehydrated. Thus, you need to have plenty of water to get over a hangover.

If you are drinking heavily tonight, then remember to have a banana in the morning as it has been found that consumption of banana in the morning can help prevent and overcome hangover. Also, never consume alcohol on an empty stomach and always ensure that you are snacking on something while drinking.

Along with the above mentioned remedies, there are also certain external remedies that can help. That is to say, applying a cloth dipped in cold water on your forehead can help you overcome a hangover. Similarly, a warm water bath also helps.
