Home Remedies for Back Pain

Spasms or painful shooting pains in back can disrupt the normal healthy life of any person. Bending, walking, sitting and other movements become painful and difficult due to back pains. If you are suffering from back pain, given below are some home remedies which can help you out.

Keeping the affected area warm is effective in combating back pain. You can use a hot water bottle or a hot compression to soothe your aching back. It is usually advised to first ice the area to reduce inflammation and then after some days switch to hot bottle treatment.

Practice a perfect posture and keep on stretching your back instead of sitting in one particular position for a long time.  Certain stretching exercises for the back are also extremely helpful in preventing and treating back pain. Additionally, you can massage your back with eucalyptus oil or mustard oil to relieve it from back pain.

Along with posture and exercises, there are also some dietary recommendations for people suffering from back pain as diet plays an important role in preventing and treating this problem the natural way. First of all, give up smoking and tobacco intake as they are not only harmful for your back but also for your health in totality. Also avoid spicy, fried, processed or fatty foods.

After having read about what all foods need to be avoided, let’s discuss about the healthy diet beneficial during back pains. If you are suffering from backache, then include salads of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Tomatoes, carrot, cabbage, spinach and lettuce are some of the fresh vegetables effective for back pain treatment.

People suffering from back pain should also take care of their sleeping postures. Sleep on a firm mattress and avoid sleeping face down. Follow these home remedies and naturally get rid of the problem of back pain.
