Healthy ways to Gain Weight
If you think that only losing weight is tough as it is very easy to gain weight by adding more fatty stuff in your diet, then you are probably wrong. If you are underweight seeking to gain a couple of pounds, then you don’t need to achieve that by adding more sugar, fats or junk food I your diet. This will make you unhealthy. Just like losing weight needs methodical healthy approach, so does gaining weight. Given below are some healthy ways of gaining weight.
Being underweight is as unhealthy as being overweight. The former tend to have a weak immune system and thus are vulnerable to various ailments. Thus, skinny people are left in quest for weight gain. Well, the basic fact remains the same: to gain weight you need to add calories to your diet. However, this does not imply simple addition of junk food in your diet. This is because junk food can provide calories but they don’t offer anything beneficial or nutritional to the body and instead just load your body with unhealthy saturated fats and sugar. To provide your body with healthy fat and calories, you can eat fish, nuts, and even seeds. Similarly, black beans, kidney beans, dried peas and soy beans are good source of protein and calories. Adding olive oil to the list of items to be had is a healthy option as this provides calories to your body and additionally keeps the health of your health in check. Canola oil, almonds and walnuts are other healthy options of weight gain. Try snacking in between meals. Nuts, dried fruits, and yogurt can help. Drinking mixed juices can help you in higher calorie intake. Similarly, eating starchy vegetables like potatoes and corn can help. Moreover, the carbohydrates found in vegetables, fruits and whole grains help in infusing energy and nutrients to daily diet.
