Healthy Bread Spreads

Bread is one of the simplest and most common components of breakfast. Instead of applying the fattening cheese on your bread, you can indulge in some healthy bread spreads.

You can easily make bread spreads at home instead of buying it from markets. Peanut butter is a popular and a tasty bread spread liked by many. You can easily make peanut butter at home by grinding roasted peanuts and adding little oil, salt and even little milk to get the desired texture.

Peanut butters are also available in markets but they can contain saturated fats. Thus, to be on a safer side, make peanut butter at home.

If you are fond of cheese spreads, then go in for low-fat cream cheese spreads to keep yourself healthy and fit. For a healthier option, you can try out vegetable bread spreads. All it needs is combining tomatoes, onion and little garlic in a food processor. You can then apply this tasty vegetable paste on your bread to get a healthy snack.

You can also use avocado to make a healthy bread spread. All you need to do is to mash up avocado, add little salt and lemon juice to it and then just apply it on the bread and eat it. Avocados are rich in important nutrients and can thus help in providing you a healthy way of fill up your stomach.

To have a protein rich bread sandwich, you can mash boiled egg and apply it in the sandwich with little mayonnaise. In addition, you can also go in for high fiber bread spreads like those of hummus.

Thus, given above are some useful options of bread spreads that can be used for the purpose of healthy snacking.
