You must have definitely experienced your mothers running after you to eat a carrot or drink its juice to get better eyesight? This is because carrots contain beta-carotene which converts to Vitamin A in the body and helps in improving vision. Carrots have great nutritional value which helps not only in the improvement of eyesight but also healthy skin, hair and bones along with aiding in the overall health of the body. Carrots are a natural health booster which slow down the ageing process, promotes healthy vision, has anti-cancer properties and increases immunity towards various chronic diseases. In addition, they provide the body with all the essential nutrients and Vitamins like Vitamin A, B3, C and E.
Carrots contain a complete nutrition to provide our body with essential enzymes, vitamins and minerals. It is easily assimilated by our body and is good for the health of spleen and stomach. It is also believed to improve impotence, sexual dysfunction, night blindness, long term cough along with aiding in the strengthening and health of one’s kidney. Carrots contain beta-carotene which has antioxidant properties which helps in combating the free radicals that contribute to conditions like cancer, heart disease and muscular degeneration. This healthy vegetable also contains another antioxidant which lowers the incidence of lung cancer in men. Due to its high soluble fiber levels, carrots help in preventing various gastrointestinal complaints like colic and ulcers along with aiding in the reduction of cholesterol levels.
If you want a natural healthy skin and eyes, you should make it a point to have carrots daily. One can also have carrot juice which helps in relieving one from stress and fatigue along with helping in the cleansing and energizing of the entire body. Carrots are extremely nutritious which aid in the overall health of a person. Thus, the new health mantra can be to eat carrots daily to lead a happy and a healthy life.
