Hair tips for monsoon

July 8, 2008

Styling hair everyday is quite cumbersome. Daily ironing and blow –drying make your hair to damage permanently. Monsoon is a season to give your hair a break and for keeping them in natural shape and style. Gels and oil only attracts dirt and pollutants. So, it’s better to avoid them. Remember regular washing and conditioning helps you greatly sailing through this season.

Always keep in mind that nothing can beat the long lustrous black hair, so avoid coloring this season. Hairs picking for girls in this monsoon is hair length till the nape or little below your shoulders. And for guys: shorter the better. Hair trimmed to the scalp is the season’s hottest look.

Here are some hair tips that you should follow in this wet weather for maintaining good heath of your hair.

Avoid combing wet hair.

Applying little bit of good quality moisturizer helps in fighting against hair frizz.

Make sure you use two different products for shampooing as well for conditioning. This is because shampoo only cleans your scalp whereas conditioner cleans your hair. It is very essential that you Shampoo your hair, at least two or three times a week for keeping the dirt away from your hair.

Oil massaging is good for maintaining the health of your hair. But make sure you do not leave oil for more than an hour on your hair.

If you looking forward to get your hair colored or streaked, then make sure you avoid henna. This is because hennaed hair does not register colors well. Even if you are planning for perming or rebounding or any other chemical treatment, avoid going out in direct contact with environment. Stay inwards in AC to make them last long. It would be great if you take a regular visit to a saloon or spa treatment for your hair’s health.
