Hair care in summers
Sunlight can be as damaging as a hot blow dryer. Scorching sun not just causes your skin to sweat in summers but also your scalp. The sunlight makes the hair to stick together in clumps, making it look like hay. It damages your hair cuticles, excessive exposure of hair in sunlight results in dryness, split or frizzy ends. Thus it becomes extremely important to beat this heat in order to protect your hair from dying out.
It would be wise if you use shampoos and conditioners which offer your hair UV protection and also gentle to your scalp.
Hair scalp sweats when exposed to sunlight, so it is important that you shampoo your hair at least 3-4 times in a week and later wash it with Luke warm water. Mind it, washing hair with hot water strips away the moisture and proteins from your hair leaving them look dry and fragile.
Don’t forget to apply conditioner to your hair whenever you shampoo them. This is because shampoos generally take away the natural moisture from your hair. Applying conditioner coats your hair strands by nourishing, softening and smoothening it. It also aids in less hair breakage.
If your hair is fine or thin, you go for leave-on too. Wide varieties of leave-on are available in market, you can choose among them as per your choice and requirement. These leave-on repairs the damaged hair along with adding extra shine to hair. It also reduces frizz in your hair. Whenever you going for some hair style, leave-on are the best.
If you use various hot hair tools like blow dryers, hot irons and electric curlers to give a new look to your hair everyday, then it’s time to give a break. Try out some manageable styles that can be made without the usage of such hot hair tools.
