Unhealthy skin is an indicator of vitamin deficiencies; these vitamins are commonly found in many natural foods. Listed below are five foods whose regular consumption will contribute to your better overall health, and flawless, clear and lustrous skin.

Food 1 – Yogurt

Apart from being tasty, yogurt offers plenty of protein. Proteins help promote not only beautiful skin but also help your nails grow sturdy and strong. Brittle hair often indicates that you lack proteins.

Start consuming this protein rich food and see the changes it will bring to your skin and hair. Apart from eating it, you can also use yogurt as a facial mask to attain a more youthful look to your face.

Food 2 – Spinach

Though all leafy green vegetables are beneficial for your health, plenty of spinach in its unprocessed form increases your consumption of omega 3s.  Omega 3 imparts an agile and youthful look to your skin.  Be sure to eat as much as possible.

Food 3 – Carrots

Carrots are a good source of vitamin A and Beta Carotene, both of which give a distinct glow to your skin. Carrots help delay the onset of wrinkles and keep the pimples away.

It’s also an excellent substitute for junk food. You can either eat them raw or cooked, or you can drink the juice.

Food 4 – Tomatoes
