Foreign languages and today’s youth

There was a time when people spent large amount of their money for learning foreign languages just for the sake of their resumes. Language courses were once equivalent to hobby classes with few more additional benefits. They used to go for French, German and Spanish languages before, but now people are also looking forward to learn Japanese, Chinese and even Arabic.
With so many, languages earning preference, now-a- days language schools have turned into mini-campuses. Apart from providing language courses, these schools also offer various cultural programs, student exchange programs and scholarships to their students.
Student exchange program includes a certain batch students going abroad, who spend a month or little more attending language classes in foreign universities. These students stay in the house of locals and develop communication skills through their interaction with these locals. Such an exchange program gives student an international exposure along with learning various alternative methods of language teaching and a chance to judge themselves on a big international level. International exposure makes them more flexible and confident for all kinds of working environment international as well as domestic plus improving their placement options too.
Scholarships are usually provided to the toppers. The university spends on all the expenses of a student who ranks highest in entrance exam. They also offer concessions to some students, who are planning to learn language from abroad.
Various multinational companies and tourism departments sends their personnel requirement to such language institutes. Students completing the courses can avail the benefit from such opportunities. Diploma holders can also get trained themselves as teachers to teach in various languages institutes as a faculty member and earn a well handsome salary for same. On going learners also gets the opportunity of earning bucks by various translation jobs or freelancing method. Thus it helps them to earn while they are on the path of learning.
