For treating hiccups

Remember the day, when you just had to leave for an urgent meeting for delivering an important office reportand hiccups started to irritate you. Or it may happen that when you decided to start your speech, hiccup starts up leaving you feeling humiliated and discomfited. It may be quite difficult to maintain your calmness at this point. Such situations put you in tough as well as in annoying and awkward situations but here are some simple remedies that can help you to cure hiccups.

* For curing hiccups, hold your breath and gargle yourself with water.

* You can also place an ice bag on the diaphragm for few minutes and then sip a glass of icy-cold water in a quick manner for treating hiccups.

* You can close your eyes and press your eye balls in a gentle manner for getting rid of hiccups.

* Drinking a cold glass of water, eating few crystals of sugar and a tablespoon of peanut butter helps you to get rid of hiccups.

It would be also wise if you keep yourself away from hot and spicy food stuff. Though there is no special recommended diet prescribed by healthcare experts for curing hiccups. But make sure you cut down your consumption of hot, spicy eatables as they can irritate your esophagus lining and make you to suffer from untimely irritating hiccups. Also avoid eating too-much and overloading your digestive track.

If hiccup keeps on irritating you and becomes intolerable for you to handle, seek for some medical consultation. Also, if your home remedies for curing hiccups fail to benefit you, make sure you visit your doctor. It is very important that you see a doctor if hiccups last for more than twenty four hours.
