Foot Care
One often tends to neglect one’s feet when it comes to beauty treatments. However, it is one’s feet which are the most strained and worn out part of one’s body and thus they need equal, if not more, care and nourishment so that one can put one’s “best foot forward” when required.
Regular foot care
One needs to regularly take care of the cleanliness of one’s feet so as to avoid common fungal foot problems. To keep the skin of one’s feet smooth and silky, one needs to regularly clean one’s feet to remove the dead and dry skin. Pumice stone or abrasive foot scrub can be used for this purpose. A regular foot massage is a good option to revitalize yourself as it stimulates the nerve endings and provides a relaxing experience. One should also make it a point to regularly moisturize one’s feet using creams after every foot bath so that one’s feet remain soft and smooth.
A Natural Treatment
A natural way to let your feet remain smooth and fresh is by mixing 1 cup lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, ¼ cup of milk and water to make a soak for one’s feet. One can soak one’s feet in such a bath so as to gain a revitalizing experience.
Another natural way of keeping one’s feet in good condition is by putting one’s feet up when one is sitting down as this helps in the proper circulation of blood to the feet.
Wearing the Right Shoes
Shoes play an important role in deciding the health of one’s feet as undersized and small footwear can lead to many foot problems like fungal infections, corns and calluses. Moreover, one should avoid wearing worn out shoes as such shoes don’t have the ability to support oneself and can thus lead to feet, leg and back fatigue.
Foot care is important to attain a healthy and a happy you. Moreover, if one suffers from diseases like diabetes or peripheral artery disease, extra foot care becomes very important as both these diseases lead to a poor blood flow to the feet.
