Eye Makeup for Office

September 10, 2008

Eyes are the most vital part of one’s body as they enhance the look and beauty of a person. However, doing an eye makeup for office wear is a tricky job as it should be subtle and not project an artificial look. Most of the big offices have bright lightening system which needs to be kept in mind while doing an eye makeup as what looks good in your house mirror might look stark under the bright lighting system of the office. Given below are some tips which would help you attain a formal and professional look through eye makeup without making your face seem artificial or overdone.

For best office look, one should use more of natural and neutral colors which blend well with one’s natural skin tone. Keeping the office bright fluorescent lights in mind, one should first use a base foundation with warm tones as that would help in offsetting the tones of florescent lighting.  Avoid using pink-toned bases. After the application of base foundation, one needs to apply an eye shadow which again should be warm-toned. Top it up with metallic bronze shade. Then use a blue eyeliner pencil on the top lid and half way on the bottom. Smudge with a smudging brush and those who like kajal, can go in for brown or black. The eye makeup needs to be finished off with the final touches of mascara. Apply brown or black mascara on the brows and then on the lashes. Your eyes are then presented with a perfect look which is subtle and natural for a perfect office look. Eye makeup when done for office should have a natural look to it and should not be too loud or eye-catching since office requires a professional look and not one of evening parties.
