Dahi machi
Ingredients:
500 gm hilsha or rohu
1 inch piece of ginger, 1tsp turmeric powder,1 big onion, 100 gms sour curd, 2 cloves, 1bay leaf, 4 slit green chilies, 2 cardamoms, 1 piece of cinnamon stick, a few sprigs of coriander leaves, salt and chili powder to taste

Method:
Chop fish into thin slices and rub it with a sliced lemon. Make a nice paste of ginger and onion. Now marinate the fish with a paste made up of turmeric powder, curd, chili powder, salt. Keep the fish aside after rubbing for an hour. Now heat 4 tbsp of oil in a pan and throw while spices into it. When done, add fish along with cud mixture and green chilies. Put the lid on the pan and pressure cook over a slow flame for 4-5 minutes. Serve decorated with sprigs of coriander leaves.

Murgi dilkush
Ingredients:

½ kg chicken,1 inch piece of ginger, 4 medium sized potataoes,4 medium sized onions,4 flakes garlic,1 ½ heaped tsp chili powder, 2 ½ cups sour curd, 6 green chilies and salt to taste

Method:
Make a nice paste of ginger onions and garlic in a grinder. Now divide this paste into 2 parts. Peel the potatoes and cut them into halves. Cut the chicken into serving portions. Thoroughly mix the chicken and potatoes with half of the paste using 1 tbsp of oil and 2 tsp of salt.
Heat 5 tbsp of oil in an open pan and fry the rest paste in it for 10 minutes on a slow flame. Then add potato and chicken with paste into the same pan and fry them for 10 more minutes. Pour 3 ½ cups of water into the pan, add 2 ½ tsp of salt and close the pan. Pressure cook for 8-10 minutes and then serve hot.
