Eating tips for vegetarians
Certainly being vegetarian is a boon if one eats healthy rich diet but a bane if one hardly pays any importance to what he or she is eating. Vegetarians are not only present in India only but they are residing abroad as well, but there lies a remarkable difference between vegetarians in India and vegetarians in overseas.
Today mostly people are vegetarians for their own philosophical and health related evasions. So they are very much concerned that whether their diet is nutritionally adequate and healthful or not? But Indians being culturally vegetarian from generations fails up to pay equal importance to their diet. That is why these people suffer from various diseases related with non-vegetarian diet. An unbalanced non-vegetarian diet leads to heart related diseases, cholesterol problems, high blood pressure, obesity and cancer. But a balanced diet keeps a good check on these ailments.
Variety of pulses which forms an important ingredient of vegetarian diet only contains 30 percent of proteins plus they are deprived of amino acids too which are required for your body systems. So to maintain the balance, it is very important to add foodstuffs like tofu in your daily diet. It is a partially fermented complete protein. Also, it is easily digestible too.
Also, vegetarian diet lacks in vitamin B12, so don’t forget to add on animal products like eggs, milk in your eating patterns. You can also incorporate nutritional yeast and sea plant based foodstuffs like seaweed in your food plan. Taking multivitamin capsule which contains B complex is not a bad idea too. Such a capsule is easily available in markets.
Also, make sure to incorporate calcium rich stuff in your diet chart. Go for Soya, turnip, broccoli, bog Choy, ragi along with milk, cheeses, curd and panner.
Hope the above tips prove out to be great for your health, so just follow them!
