Easy ways to keep yourself agile in a busy schedule

August 26, 2008

Get a power nap
Whenever you find your energy levels bogging you down, make sure you take a power nap of at least 15 minutes to rejuvenate yourself. Trust me a power nap is as energizing and refreshing as a night’s sleep. Find a dark and cool spot to lye down. Don’t worry if there’s a fan or computer near by-a white noise background hum can really help you to calm yourself. Slip off your shoes and switch off your mobiles too, so that nothing can distract you from your powerful nap. Set your watch for 15 minutes because any longer can make you to fall into a deep sleep and if you woken up from that –it can make you feel groggy.

Try breathing exercises
By afternoon, we all start to yawn and it’s not a big surprise. This is because our bodies are designed for two daily sleeps and mid-afternoon is when we should get our second. So in case you find it hard to get some powerful sleep than instead of getting irritated due to high workload, recharge yourself with some breathing exercises. Try this simple breathing exercise to revitalize yourself. Inhale for three seconds and then exhale for next three seconds. Repeat this exercise ten times. This will surely recharge you up to perform in a better manner than before.

Perform physical activities
Do you know that injecting a spurt of physical activity into your day can be the best way for refreshing your tired and worn-out soul? It will increase your blood flow thus release your body stored energy. So next time you need to talk to your colleague, don’t e-mail him anything rather stand up from your seat, run over and speak to him.
