Diet for a Flat Belly
Does the fat near your belly hamper your confidence and self-image? If yes, then the answer to this problem lies in the simple fact- Eat healthy to look fit. The “Flat Belly Diet” is a book written by Chief Liz Vaccariello which brings to light the importance of a simple yet effective diet which can help in keeping one’s belly fat in control. This diet plan has come as a boon for those whose life had got disrupted and hampered due to their bulging belly.
Eat right, eat healthy and eat well to remain fit is what this book proposes. An effective diet to get rid of belly fat focuses on the use of monounsaturated fats or MUFA in place of saturated fat content. Thus, one should include in one’s diet items like olive and sunflower oil, nuts, seeds, dark chocolate and soybeans amongst others. The flat belly diet is very much like the traditional Mediterranean diet which focuses on the intake of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean protein, red meat and legumes. The suggested meal plans are kept at 1600 calories per day. The secret of the whole diet revolves around the replacement of harmful saturated fatty content with healthy MUFA’s which can result in favorable outcomes.
The Flat Belly Diet is designed in such a way so as to reduce bloating and fat storage from one’s body. Before starting of this plan, dieters are asked to drink two liters of water daily along with a blend of spices, herbs, citrus and cucumber. Diet always has to be accompanied by exercise to bring about the desired outcome. Thus, an effective way of reducing belly fat involves indulging in a healthy diet which involves the use of monounsaturated fats along with performing adequate exercise, especially abdominal ones, to reduce the fat from one’s belly.
