Desserts for Diabetics
Surprised by the heading? After all, every one of us thinks that desserts are like a poison for diabetic patients. This is because diabetes is a problem with the functioning of insulin which in turn leads to inefficient utilization of glucose in the body. Thus, such people have high concentration of glucose in their blood. Sugar and sweets are thus strictly banned for diabetic people. However, good news for all of you as there is no need to run away from the mentioning of desserts. Given below are some desserts which can be taken safely by diabetic patients.
How about having a carrot dream at night for dessert? It can be prepared safely with no sugar harm for diabetics. For this, you need to boil 85ml of skimmed milk. Add 30 grams of grated carrots and mashed panir (30g) to the milk. Allow it to thicken. Add one tablet of saccharin. Dissolve ¼ tsp gelatin in a little water and add to the above mixture. Pour these contents in a jelly mould and set it in a refrigerator. Your dessert is prepared and ready to eat. You can also make another diabetic dessert by combining 2 cups chopped apples, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup water, 1 tsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp liquid sweetener, butter and ½ tsp nutmeg. Bring to boil and boil for three minutes. Allow it to cool. Then add 1c flour, 1 tbsp baking soda, ¼ tsp salt, 1 egg, and little vanilla and black walnut flavoring agent. Mix well and bake it for a yummy healthy dessert. Similarly, there are various sugar-free recipes which are safe and healthy for diabetic people yet tasty. Thus, enjoy the joy and taste of desserts while taking equal care of your diet. Moreover, also follow all dietary tips for diabetes so as to remain healthy and fit.
