Teeth are not only a vital beauty quotient but are also important for the overall health and well being of a person. Thus to keep your smile going miles, one needs to follow some basic tips on dental care which would help in keeping one’s teeth in a healthy condition.

Right from a small kid to an old man, everyone is aware of the basic fact that brushing your teeth at least twice a day helps in keeping one’s teeth in a healthy condition. Despite being aware of this fundamental rule, some people tend to neglect it thereby giving invitation to dental problems. For proper brushing and removal of mouth germs, one needs to ensure that the brush is of right size and of good quality which does not harm one’s gums in the process of cleaning them. Flossing is also a healthy idea which helps in optimum dental care. Dental care is not associated only with the cleanliness of teeth but also involves the healthy condition of the entire mouth. Thus, one should use antimicrobial mouth rinse to prevent the formation of germs. In addition, getting regular dental check ups done is necessary for the overall dental health of a person.

Along with following basic dental hygienic conditions, one can also indulge in some homemade dental care recipes for bright teeth and fresh breath. One can make mint toothpaste at home by mixing 6 teaspoons of baking soda with 1/3 tsp of salt, 4 tsp of glycerin and 15 drops of peppermint or wintergreen extract. Mix thoroughly and use it as toothpaste to experience a new air of freshness in your mouth. By following some basic dental care techniques, one can free oneself from all dental problems along with being able to win the hearts of many with a beautiful, natural and healthy smile.
