Date and Oatmeal Muffins

Date Oatmeal muffins is a healthy recipe which can help a person gain the numerous health benefits of oatmeal in a tastier way. People who don’t like to eat oatmeal in its natural form can include its intake in the form of delicious muffins. The natural sugar in dates help in providing the body with instant energy but sugar-regulating vitamins in oats help in regulating the flow of sugar in the blood in a controlled way so that the body can maximize energy in a healthy way. Oats thus ensure that the body receives energy in a slow but steady way so that there is not a peak and plateau simultaneously. You don’t need to spend a bounty to purchase these muffins from a bakery as they can be easily baked at home with the help of a simple recipe.

Preparation Method:
First preheat the oven to 400 F. combine 1½ cup oatmeal and 1/3 cup milk in a bowl and let it soak. In a separate large bowl, mix ¾ c whole-wheat flour, ½ tsp baking soda, 2 tsp baking powder, cinnamon and 14 finely chopped dates. Take another bowl in which one needs to add 1 beaten egg, 4 tsp oil, 2 tbsp agaves syrup and ½ cup prune puree. Add this to oatmeal mixture and then stir in flour mix. After that one needs to spoon batter into paper-lined muffin cups. Bake for about 20 minutes or until brown and firm to touch; and then cool it on a wire rack.
The delicious, energizing and healthy muffins are ready for consumption. Eat it, enjoy it and experience the energy effect of dates and healthy benefits of oatmeal!!!
