The relentless and ruthless sun of summer damages your skin in various harmful ways. Mainly it makes you appear tanned and dark, so here are some tips that can help you to get rid of suntan.

Applying solution of four tsp of sandalwood oil mixed with two tsp of almond oil plus five tbsp of coconut oil on affected area greatly helps in removing suntan.

Massaging the affected area with sandalwood cream too benefits in suntan. You can also apply a paste of multani mitti also known as fuller’s earth along with sandal wood powder for treating suntan.

Paste of barley, turmeric and yoghurt provide relief when applied on sunburn area. Make sure you use equal quantities of above substances.

Cold Aloe -Vera gel, apple cider vinegar and plantain helps greatly in healing sunburn.

Make sure you avoid applying lotions that contain topical anesthetic medications for curing suntan. These lotions make you more sensitive and allergic to these medicines.

You can dip some gauze in milk and later apply the same on affected area .The tannic acid of tea draws out the burn from the affected area and helps in faster healing of skin. If this method for curing suntan is properly followed, it relives the person from suntan pain too. But this method fails to prevent peeling of skin.

Make sure you apply sunscreen generously whenever you plan to move out. If the works demands you to stay out in sun for prolonged period of time, use hats or any other protective piece of clothing which can protect you from sunburn.

Try to wear light shades like peach, pink, white, lemon when going out, as it will reflect the sun rays more effectively. Wearing cotton, chiffon, and crape will be great. Avoid colors like black, brown, red, maroons along with other dark shades as the quickly absorb much of sun rays, thus damaging your skin.
