It is often believed that acne is caused due to impure blood or constipation. Well the truth is something else. Acne is caused by excessive secretion of sebaceous glands, hormone imbalances and stress. Believe me, impure blood or constipation problem has nothing to do with acne. Just keep a check over your stress levels. You can also control acne by avoiding fancy scented soaps, excessive moisturizing and oil massaging etc. keep you r face clean as much as possible. Also including green leafy vegetables in your diet helps in treating acne problem to some extent.

Oiling hair everyday encourages hair growth- we all know that this is the most popular Indian myth. Keep in mind that oiling hair merely protects it from dust, color, pollution and other external pollutants. Regular application of oil has no relation with hair growth. When you scrub oil on your scalp, the hair merely soaks it up. It is then protected from external factors, But it hardly stimuli the growth of your hair.

People believe that reading in dim light only causes temporary strain over your eyes and headaches. But that’s not all! They ruin your eyes in a very worse manner. Stressing eyes for a long period can have adverse effects on your eye’s health. You may suffer from various problems like farsightedness and shortsightedness. So make sure there is proper light whenever you read out something. Also avoid staring computer screen for long time, as it can also affect your eyes badly. fd
