I've been drinking Coke/Diet Coke and all the flavors of it for years. But recently I've been experiencing horrible heartburn, and nausea. I looked on the ingredient list of a can of cola that my son was drinking and compared it to the ginger ale and lemon limes I've felt I had to switch to. That's where I saw the ingredient PHOSPHORIC ACID which was missing from the other 2. I then googled it and found a site that had my symptoms and more. What a surprise! I know I'm going to miss my favorite soft drink, but I wont miss all the gastrointestinal symptoms.

Since I have stopped drinking diet coke I have eliminated my heart burn. I had heard it was bad for your digestive system and that is why I stopped. I sure is nice not waiking up in the middle of the night with heart burn.
