Causes of Rapid Weight Gain
When you suddenly change your overall look by becoming plump and fat from being thin and healthy, then majority would blame you for leading an unhealthy lifestyle. While there is no denying the fact that eating junk and unhealthy food combined with lack of exercise is the prime reason for weight gain, there are also other factors that can lead to rapid weight gain. Given below are such causes and the reasons why despite eating less and exercising, you tend to put on weight.
When despite leading a healthy lifestyle, you tend to rapidly put on weight, then there are feelings of anger, frustration and dejection which accompanies those extra pounds. Also, you are confused and perplexed as to why you should carry a fat look when people who eat more than you flaunt a perfect figure. Well, the answers are many as apart from unhealthy lifestyle, there are various factors which lead to rapid weight gain. Hypothyroidism is one of the prime causes. It is a thyroid hormone deficiency which slows down your metabolism leading to weight gain. If you have a frequent carving for junk food, then it may be that you are facing the problem of essential fatty acid deficiency. The first signs of this deficiency are dandruff, scaly skin, arthritis, eczema and diabetes. Another cause of rapid weight gain is Cushing’s syndrome. In this problem, there is fat accumulation on face, abdomen and upper back. It has also been found that food sensitivity or reaction to any food item can lead to swelling or bloating of arms, feet, face and abdomen. In addition, other factors like blood sugar imbalance, alcohol consumption, kidney and heart diseases can also lead to the problem of weight gain. Thus, it is always advised to consult your doctor if you find any rapid weight gain despite eating less and exercising
