Dry weather often leads to overall dryness in the body and it is for this reason that people are advised to use a humidifier. If you have dry scalp, then you must choose your shampoos and conditioners with care as excessive use of harsh chemicals is a prime reason of dry scalp.
Additionally, if you use excessive hair stylizing products or hair-dryers, then you can dry out your scalp and hair, making them vulnerable to various dryness related problems.
It has been found that people who prefer washing their head with extremely hot water often end up facing dry scalp and dry and worn out hair. Other causes of dry scalp include exposure to environmental dust and pollution and even bad or unhealthy diet.
To have perfect hair, you need a healthy and a perfect diet consisting of necessary nutrients. Also, avoid excessive oily and spicy food as that tends to dry out your skin and scalp.
Not to forget, have plenty of water and keep yourself well hydrated to prevent dry scalp as the latter is often caused by dehydration in the body.
