There are various factors that can lead to a burning and an itching sensation in the eye. This article will throw light on such causes.

Many times a person experiences burning sensation in the eyes due to environmental pollutants. Exposure of your eyes to excessive dust, smoke, and pollutants can irritate the eye and lead to various problems, one of them being that of burning and irritated eyes.

People with cold and flu are seen with red, watery, and burning eyes. However, such kind of irritation and eye discomfort subsides in a few days.

This is because it has been found that UV rays can lead to burning and itchy eyes along with causing various other eye related problems.

After having looked at the various causes of burning eyes, let’s take a quick glance at some simple remedies that can help you out. First of all, you must wash your eyes frequently with cold water.

This helps in providing relief from itchy and burning eyes. In addition, always wash your hands when you come from outside to prevent any bacterial or viral infection.

Also, try to prevent your eyes from harsh environmental chemicals and pollutants.

Thus, understand the above given causes of burning eyes and take the necessary preventive steps to keep your eyes safe and healthy.
