Causes of Blurred Vision
There are some people who suffer from the problem of blurred vision where-in it becomes difficult for them to see things clearly as everything becomes hazy and cloudy.
People can suffer from chronic blurred vision and also from sudden onset of blurred vision which lasts for some time. Blurred vision can be an indication of some underlying eye and health problem. This article will throw light on some common causes of blurred vision.
One of the common causes of blurred vision is weakening of eye muscles and macular degeneration. With age, a person’s eye muscles lose their elasticity and start becoming weak, thereby leading to problems like blurred vision. People suffering from macular degeneration complain of blurred vision especially during reading.
Cataract is another problem common in the elderly and it is a problem which usually leads to blurring of vision. People suffering from cataracts often complain of a cloudy and hazy vision.
Glaucoma is a serious eye problem that can even lead to blindness. Blurred vision is one of the symptoms of this problem and if you suffer from blurring of vision, then you must get a through eye checkup done to treat the problem in time.
Eye problems like dry and itchy eyes, and myopia or hyperopia are some other causes of blurred vision.
In addition to the above mentioned eye related problems, blurred vision can also be caused by some underlying medical problems like hypertension, brain tumor, stroke and diabetes. Temporal arteritis and migraine headaches are some other problems that can lead to blurring of vision.
Other causes of blurred vision include exhaustion, lack of sleep, and even intake of certain medications.
Take thorough care of your eyes as eyes are precious. Thus, if you suffer from any eye problem like that of blurred vision, then you must first investigate the cause to effectively treat the problem.
