Causes of Blackheads
Everyone loves to have a smooth and a flawless face. Blackheads are one such beauty blots that everyone wants to get rid of. However, to effectively get rid of blackheads, you need to understand what it is and how it is caused.
A type of acne vulgaris, blackheads are tiny and dark spots that get accumulated on your body parts, especially around the corners of the nose. They are usually a result of excessive oil in the skin pores.
There are various causes of blackheads ranging from genetic and hormonal factors to even intake of certain medications. Let’s look at the causes of blackheads in detail.
As mentioned before, blackheads are usually caused when oil in the skin reaches the skin surface and clogs the pores. Dirt and pollutants are also responsible for the eruption of blackheads as dirt in combination with oily skin make a perfect environment for bacteria to thrive on and blackheads to form. Thus, one should try to keep one’s face clean and clear from dust and other environmental pollutants.
To get rid of oil and blackheads, people use certain harsh products. However, you should avoid the use of harsh chemicals on your skin as such products lead to excessive dryness of the skin which in turn facilitates even more production of oil in the skin.
Along with an oily skin, there are certain genetic factors too associated with blackheads. Similarly, any kind of hormonal imbalance in the body can trigger the eruption of blackheads and it is for this reason that blackheads are quite common in teenagers.
It is for the same reason that many pregnant women get acne and blackheads due to significant hormonal changes in their body. Intake of certain medications and excessive stress in life are other common causes of blackheads.
Thus, it is important for you to be aware of the various causes of blackheads so that you can prevent its eruption.
