symptomsmalariaFever is often seen with a lot of suspicion as it can be an indication of some serious problem like dengue, swine flu, or malaria. However, to avoid panic and unnecessary tension, you should be aware of some of the common symptoms of such problems. This article will provide information on the causes and symptoms of malaria.

Malaria is a disease caused by a mosquito bite and it is infectious by nature. Malaria is transmitted from person to person through the bite of the infected female Anopheles mosquito. Also, malaria can be transmitted through blood transfusion, use of infected needles, and also through organ transplant.

However, malaria is usually spread through mosquito bites and it is thus advised that a person should avoid going to malaria-affected regions.
After having looked at some of the main causes of malaria, let’s look at the symptoms it produces.

Fever is one of the main symptoms of malaria. People suffering from malaria display flu like symptoms and they suffer from chills and severe headache. Muscle aches and spasms are other symptoms associated with malaria.

In addition, this problem can also lead to nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Malaria can also lead to symptoms like abdominal pain, fatigue or lack of energy, and even a loss of appetite. The symptoms of malaria do not appear immediately after you are bitten by the infective mosquito. Instead, the symptoms take about a week’s time to appear.

It is important to recognize and understand your body’s signs and symptoms. A timely remedial action helps in preventing malaria from becoming serious and complicated. If malaria is not treated in time, it can lead to some serious problems like low blood sugar, anemia, jaundice, and even kidney failure amongst others.

Thus, understand the above given various causes of malaria and take the necessary preventive steps. Also, once you find the malarial symptoms in your body, you must immediately consult your doctor and take the required remedial action.
