Causes and Symptoms of Hyperacidity
The problem of hyperacidity has become very common in today’s world, especially with people indulging in unhealthy and irregular eating habits. This article will throw light on the various causes and symptoms of hyperacidity.
There are various factors that can lead to an increase of acid production in the body. The most common factor is diet. Excess intake of fatty, oily, and spicy food can lead to hyperacidity.
Similarly, people who include a lot of sour food items in their diet are at a risk of suffering from hyperacidity.
A sedentary lifestyle will provide you lifetime health problems. It is a major cause for various health problems and thus you must exercise regularly and keep yourself active to lead a healthy and a fit life.
Going to bed immediately after meals, indulging in excessive intake of caffeinated drinks, and suffering from stomach infections are some of the other causes of hyperacidity. Hyperacidity can also be triggered by stress, anxiety, and emotional distress.
Along with the above given causes, there are also some underlying medical problems that can lead to hyperacidity. Stomach ulcers, acid reflux disease, and stomach cancers are some diseases that can cause hyperacidity.
Hyperacidity is usually characterized by symptoms like sour belching, heartburns, abdominal bloating and pain, and nausea amongst others. It leads to burning sensations in the abdominal and even chest region and it is for this reason that many times people confuse an acidity attack with heart attack.
The problem of hyperacidity can also lead to vomiting and diarrhea.
There are many medicines available for treating hyperacidity. One should consult a doctor before taking them.
In addition, have healthy dietary habits, exercise regularly, and avoid excessive stress and anxiety. These small steps can provide prevention from not only the problem of hyperacidity, but also from various other medical problems.
