According to research, chocolate and laughter is a deadly combination which can boost up your brain’s efficiency levels. Imagine, having your favorite sweet chocolate as a highly beneficial item. Surprised!!! But it’s actually true. However, by chocolates we mean dark chocolates as they are the ones which are beneficial for the overall health of a person. Similarly, laughter is the best medicine and if for nothing else, one can laugh for the sharpening of one’s brain.
While brains are made up of 60 percent fat, they rely on sugar, a simple sugar to boost up their power. Eat complex carbohydrates like brown rice, bulgur, quinoa, and whole wheat pasta to provide your brain with ample energy. Keep unhealthy fats to minimum. In addition, dark-colored fruits and vegetables including apricots, watermelons, mangoes and spinach are good for the brain. Omega 3 fatty acids are very essential for the healthy functioning of the brain and they can be found in foods like fish, salmon, tuna and others. Eating these foods increases the production of acetylcholine, a vital chemical released from nerve cells that improves communication between cells. In addition, playing brainy games like crosswords; doing daily meditation; exercising and involving your brain in various activities can be helpful in boosting its efficiency level. The more you use your brain- the sharper it becomes.
