Raisins are obtained from drying grapes and are a favorite with almost everybody, including children. Along with taste, raisins also provide various health benefits which are discussed below.

Raisins have proved to provide relief from constipation, anemia, fever, and sexual weakness amongst others. Raisins are rich in antioxidants and thus help in preventing the body from free radical damage. In addition, the antioxidants present in raisins also provide protection from various kinds of cancer. Moreover, they are also good for blood as they help in getting rid of all impurities thereby keeping your blood clean, healthy and flowing.

Moreover, raisins contain calcium which helps in building of strong bones along with helping prevent bone related disorders like osteoporosis. Along with calcium, the minerals in raisins help in making bones stronger and healthy. If you are suffering from the problem of anemia, then raisins can help you out as they contain considerable amount of iron. It also contains various members of vitamin B complex and copper which help in formation of red blood cells. Moreover, raisins help in weight gain, eye care and dental care.

Usually people associate sweet things with tooth cavities. However, raisins are beneficial for healthy gums and teeth and do not lead to any form of tooth decay or gum disease. Instead, the acid present in it is very effective in killing the bacteria that causes cavity. Moreover, they also aid the health of your eyes and help prevent macular degeneration.
