For all those pear lovers, there’s good news. Keep enjoying the pleasure of pears as they are nutritional and healthy for the body. Those who have still not developed the love for pears can develop their taste for it now after reading about its numerous benefits. Pears are a good source of Vitamin C and copper. They are excellent source of water-soluble fiber and contain Vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E, folic acid and niacin. Not to forget- their rich content of copper, phosphorus and potassium along with some amounts of calcium, chlorine, iron, magnesium, sodium, and sulphur. There are some varieties of pears which are richer in iron. This can be found out when a pear turns brown when cut. Moreover, despite being sweet and juicy, pears are low in calories. So, good news for all as this sweet fruit can be eaten freely. It is advised to eat pears with their skin on as the skin not only has fiber, but also cholorogenic acid.

Pears are good for the overall health of a person. They have anti-oxidant and anti-carcinogen glutathione which help prevent high blood pressure and stroke. They are actually higher in pectin than apple which in turn makes them effective in helping to lower cholesterol levels and in toning the intestines. Eating pears regularly can help in boosting up your immune system along with providing you with natural energy due to its high amounts of glucose and fructose. Pear juice also has an anti-inflammatory effect which helps in relieving pain in various inflammatory conditions. It has also been found that pears can prove effective in preventing osteoporosis and is also helpful for pregnant women. Thus, consume this sweet and nutritious fruit to keep yourself in a healthy and fit condition.
