Going to the beach for a lovely day and a bronzed look is a desire of many people. But in the eagerness of visiting the beach, are you missing out on some basic and essential makeup? While most of us associate makeup with something exclusively reserved for parties and important occasion for that extra glamour quotient, makeup during beach is something which is essential.

It is not only for adding of extra glamour, but also for protecting the skin from damage caused by sun’s UV rays which are maximum at the beach. Given below are some basic beach makeup tips.

Makeup is something which should be done according to the occasion. Light, heavy or moderate makeup depends upon the kind of occasion. When going to a beach, avoid heavy makeup. When going to a beach, the makeup mantra is- the lesser, the better. A moisturizer and a sunscreen are a must. Never go to the beach without the protective layer of a good quality sunscreen lotion.

Use sunscreen lotion with SPF-30 before going under the skin in the beach. Also, reapply sunscreen lotion or cream after every 2 to 3 hours to keep your skin protected throughout your stay in beach. These days there are also tinted moisturizers that come along with sunscreen. As far as the eye makeup goes, you should use at least 2 coats of waterproof mascara.

Makeup is not limited just for the time one stays in the beach. You need to take some measures when you come back. This includes using Aloe Vera as oil-free moisturizers after sweating on the beach. You also need to take care of your hair.

Remember to use clarifying shampoo after swimming to get rid of the harmful chemicals from hair which get accumulated by beach water. Follow these simple beach makeup tips to enjoy the pleasure of beach along with keeping your skin safe and healthy.
