No matter how heavy your resume may appear and how many zeroes you have in your CTC, it is a wide known fact that your mettle will only get tested in the periods of pressure and tough office situations. If you fail to fight against this period and fail to come up with flying colors, then all your efforts will be futile. So, when the stakes are high, just keep the following points in mind to handle out the things in an efficient manner.

Take decision in a proper manner Before deciding on the best course of action, take a set back and analyze the situation smartly. Keep yourself all the information that may be required along with the various resources that will be needed to accomplish the task. Remember by thinking tactfully, and making a map, you can spot the potential hurdles before they slow you down.

Spot low-priority tasks The time is very critical, when you work under constant pressure. So better you focus all your energies on these activities that have direct link with immediate objectives. Low priority tasks and those with farther deadlines can be handled later. Believe me, getting me most pressing assignment out of the way first will reduce your stress plus make your overall goals seem more manageable.

Delegate the work, if possible If the pressure you are facing is the result of a project overload, identify the tasks that you can delegate to other qualified members of your group. You can even ask your boss to determine which assignments can be redistributed to whom. This will keep your supervisor apprised on your progress and your financial needs.

Don’t ever lose sight When you operate on overdrive, you may lose the sight of big picture goals. Just keep on working hard to achieve your goals instead on losing hope. Keep your eyes on the light at the end of the tunnel.
