Are you taking good sleep
Hey how many times do you wake up wishing you had one extra hour to snooze? Almost every morning, right? You do not have to feel guilty about this. It is extremely important for every one of us to take adequate amount of sleep so that we can rejuvenate ourselves and perform the work in a much better way. Do you know that inadequate sleep not only leads to mental fatigue, stress and irritability but also sap your energy a makes you more susceptible to ailments like cancer, hypertension, diabetes and obesity.
Always keep in mind that your body needs at least 7-8 hours of restful and sound sleep. Any kind of sleep problems alters the balance of melatonin and cortisol – the two hormones that influence cancer cells. Lack of sleep hiders the production of melatonin, which are rich in antioxidants properties preventing the damage of cells. Not only this, lack of melatonin also lowers the production of estrogen from ovaries, thus increasing the risk of breast cancer in women. The hormone known as cortisol also gets disturbed due to lack of sleep, which regulates your immunity system.
D you know that good sleep not only rejuvenate you but also repairs your muscles and strengthen your immunity system. Always keep in mind that our body requires specific amount of sleep and suffers when this amount is not fulfilled. Such a continuous lack of sleep can lead to sleep debt that results in stress, anger, and a weak immune system, thus making you more susceptible to various ailments. So make sure you have an adequate amount of sleep.
You all will be surprised to read that only Twenty minutes of sleep in the afternoon time can enhance your productivity in a big way. So don’t feel hesitant to take a power nap.
