Are you a super-mom

February 4, 2009

Undoubtedly since the day the women acquire the role of working out, there has been a big war between career moms and stay-at-home moms. But when it comes to career mom, do you think that there should be optimum time for women to go back to work after giving birth to her baby. Let’s discuss this topic in detail below.

You all will be surprised to read that in a bid to be super-moms, today’s women are stepping out from their home soon after their C-sections. They soon take the charge of their office position with their laptops and files. Gone are those days when she wanted the leisure of three- months long maternity leave. These women are out and attending various business meetings, clinching deals soon after delivering their babies. Isn’t all this great about alpha women?

But don’t you think that this new motherhood role is a way of rebelling against nature? Does all super moms behaving in this manner really able to give enough time to nurture their babies? Believe me, this kind of behavior on the part of women invites medical complications in them. Though this can be a way of fighting depression for some, as during pregnancy the career takes a back seat and frustrations starts developing in one’s mind. Women who are confident about their careers enjoy maturity leave as a welcome break from routine work.

Medically women are not advised to get back to work after having a baby till certain time period. Getting back to work within days of a C-section is ridiculous. The wounds take seven days to heal, muscles that prevents the development of hernia take out three weeks to recover whereas the uterus itself takes about six weeks to get back to normal. So women should take care of her health before joining her office after delivering the baby.
