August 20, 2009

sweatyhandsHave you ever experienced your hands becoming sweaty during exam time or when you have to face an interview? If yes, then the reason for your sweaty hands is stress and anxiety. When a person is anxious and tensed, he tends to sweat a lot and ends up with sweaty palms or hands.

When you shake your hands with your interviewer, the latter will immediately come to know that you are tensed and under confident due to your sweaty hands.

Not only this, sweaty hands can be a cause of social embarrassment and it also leads to a lot of discomfort and irritation.

Anxiety is not only related to the tension and stress generated by exams and interviews. It can be caused by a number of factors like emotional upheavals, fear, and loneliness.

While there is no denying the fact that a little bit of stress and anxiety is necessary, one should not allow stress to increase in magnitude as that can lead to various problems.

The best way to prevent or treat sweaty hands caused by anxiety is by treating its cause itself. Reduce stress and anxiety. There are various de-stressing techniques that can be leveraged like yoga, breathing exercises and other relaxation techniques.

You need to relax your mind and remove its focus from unnecessary daily tension and anxiety. Devote some time exclusively for yourself, listen to music, read books or indulge in activities of your liking. This will help in naturally controlling your anxiety levels.

If you have sweaty hands, then along with reducing your stress and anxiety levels, you can also try some given natural remedies. Applying some natural powder on your palms can keep your hands dry. Similarly, you can rub your hands with astringent oils.

Thus, follow the above given tips to prevent or treat sweaty hands caused by anxiety.
