Adolescents and their risky behavior
Do you know that adolescents in or around metropolitan cities believe in working hard and partying harder concept, which makes them vulnerable to risky behavior? Their risky behavior includes physical relationships with opposite sex, alcohol indulgence and even drugs intake. Studies have proved that not only guys are involved in such a behavior; girls are not far behind in partying, smoking or even in watching porn sites.
Girls and boys believe that it’s too common to indulge into physically intimate relationship with a person of opposite sex nowadays. They show no shame in revealing such secrets too. Most of the girls and boys get involved in physical and sexual relationship due to pressure-be it peer pressure or media exposure. These children are vulnerable as sex is in their minds and they are too curious to experience it once. They don’t think it is risky behavior.
Having hard drinks in parties is another common thing, which is very much in for them.16 percent of boys are involved in drinking. Even girls are not far behind when it comes to the occasional tipple with 11 percent believing this and in not being shy in trying out.
Smoking cigarettes in school premises are also find very much common these days amongst adolescents.
You will be surprised to read that at least 23 percent boys as compared to 3 percent girls experiments new drugs in parties. Experimenting with new drugs once in a while is also common in school these days.
Bragging about visiting porn sites is also another common topic in conversation among both girls and boys. Do you know that large percentage of both girls and boys know or visit sites that are not meant for their age groups.
So, hey all you parents out their, just become a little more concerned about your children’s behavior before it’s to late for you as well as your adolescents.
