A Healthy Way to begin your Day

July 1, 2008

Break the fast with Breakfast and break it in a healthy and a nutritious way. There is no better way to kick start your morning in a healthier way than eating a wholesome and a nutritious breakfast. Since mornings are the most hectic time of a day as people need to go to schools or for work, they generally tend to neglect the importance of breakfast. However, it has been found that breakfasts are the most important meal of the day and they can help you remain fresh and healthy throughout the day.

Any breakfast is better than no breakfast but one should always aim at having a nutritious meal so as to attain long term health benefits. Just like other meals, one’s breakfast should also consist of grains, proteins, fruits, vegetables, milk, cheese and yogurt. Oats and porridges serve as the best balanced and nutritious candidates for a wholesome and a healthy breakfast. Bananas with a glass of skimmed milk can also be taken as a part of one’s morning meal and they are particularly good for school going children. Eggs, fruits, vegetables and healthy sandwiches are other examples of food items which can be taken as a part of a healthy breakfast.

Many people who go on diet tend to miss their breakfast. But this is an unhealthy action as not only it will make you feel low and lethargic throughout the day, it will also lead to an increase in hunger during lunchtime thereby spoiling your entire plan of a diet. Thus, missing breakfasts is an absolutely unhealthy and an unwanted idea. Moreover, it has been found that children who eat breakfast do better in their school as compared to their counterparts who miss the morning meal. This is because eating breakfast provides you the essential nutrients needed to remain alert and energetic throughout the day which in turn increases one’s concentration power. Thus, eat a healthy breakfast and begin your day on a healthy note.
